Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saulaie, bords de la Charente by Gustave Courbet was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 277,200.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Courbet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme Nue Couchée in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 15,285,000.00 (€ 14,471,690.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saulaie, bords de la Charente von Gustave Courbet kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 277.200,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Courbet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme Nue Couchée im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.285.000,00 (€ 14.471.690,97).
