Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Villa Puma, Italy by Gustav Schönleber was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 11,116.90 (€ 4,886.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gustav Schönleber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venedig, Santa Maria della Salute in May this year with an auction result of EUR 25,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Villa Puma, Italy von Gustav Schönleber wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 11.116,90 (€ 4.886,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustav Schönleber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venedig, Santa Maria della Salute im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.400,00.
