It achieved a price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,788.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Gustav Pope have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Judgement of Paris in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,200.36).

Die Arbeit Austrian Awakening Spring von Gustav Pope kam im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.788,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustav Pope auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Judgement of Paris im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.200,36).
