In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Two Centuries: American Art, which included the work Bloomo II by Gustav Muss-Arnolt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,583.84), 68% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustav Muss-Arnolt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On point, which sold at auction in April this year for USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,407.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Two Centuries: American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bloomo II von Gustav Muss-Arnolt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 8.583,84) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustav Muss-Arnolt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On point beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.407,61) versteigert wurde.
