A top price for Gustaf Rydberg
In December 2020 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Winter Sale, which included the work "Vinterstycke, solnedgång" (Winter scene, sunset) by Gustaf Rydberg. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 44,000.00 (€ 4,382.01), 26% above the upper estimate. With this result, "Vinterstycke, solnedgång" (Winter scene, sunset) is even the most expensive work of art by Gustaf Rydberg that we have observed at auctions so far.
