In May 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Evening Session, which included the work Still-Life with Thistle (Bodegón con cordo) by Guillermo Muñoz Vera. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillermo Muñoz Vera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Díptico - Interior con tinajas in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 215,000.00 (€ 225,248.82).

Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Evening Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still-Life with Thistle (Bodegón con cordo) von Guillermo Muñoz Vera zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guillermo Muñoz Vera erzielen.
