A top price for Guido Antonio Mantovani - as previously expected
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Mercatino Chioggiotto; and Vita a Chioggia by Guido Antonio Mantovani. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Mercatino Chioggiotto; and Vita a Chioggia is the most expensive artwork by Guido Antonio Mantovani that we have observed at auctions so far.
