Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A busy Dutch port; and Another similar by Gudrun Sibbons was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in July 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 655.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gudrun Sibbons have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2005 the work Unloading boats was auctioned for GBP 480.00 (€ 696.06).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 655,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
