This artwork by Guan Liang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Monk Tang'S Journey sold for HKD 360,000.00 (€ 43,535.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hardoon Garden (Xihu) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 1,225,434.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guan Liang erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Monk Tang'S Journey für HKD 360.000,00 (€ 43.535,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hardoon Garden (Xihu) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.200.000,00 (€ 1.225.434,78).
