A top price for Gu Yingtai - as previously expected
The work Luohan by Gu Yingtai was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 11,055.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Luohan is the most expensive artwork by Gu Yingtai that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Luohan von Gu Yingtai wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 11.055,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Luohan das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gu Yingtai, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
