Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Grégoire Huret could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work Recto: Funeral Scene; Verso: Studies Of Falling Devils changed hands for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,670.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Grégoire Huret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Frontispiece Design: 'Viridarium Sacrae Ac Profanae Eruditionis' , which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,586.25).
