Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Doc Morton, Front Wheel by Greg Curnoe was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 16,800.00 (€ 13,128.57). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Greg Curnoe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mariposa T.T., which sold at auction in June 2010 for CAD 42,000.00 (€ 32,216.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Doc Morton, Front Wheel von Greg Curnoe wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CAD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CAD 16.800,00 (€ 13.128,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Greg Curnoe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mariposa T.T. beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für CAD 42.000,00 (€ 32.216,74) versteigert wurde.
