Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Grant Kennedy could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Runner changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 515.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Grant Kennedy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Figures in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,231.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Grant Kennedy konnte im März 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Runner für GBP 360,00 (€ 515,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grant Kennedy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Figures im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.231,05).
