Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Graham Murray could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Sunlight and shadow changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 176.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Graham Murray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Night scene I in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,147.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Graham Murray konnte im März 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Sunlight and shadow für GBP 120,00 (€ 176,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Graham Murray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Night scene I im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.147,82).
