Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Grace Wheatley could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work The little camel changed hands for GBP 192.00 (€ 281.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grace Wheatley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sir Winston Churchill in September 2013 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,677.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Grace Wheatley konnte im September 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit The little camel für GBP 192,00 (€ 281,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grace Wheatley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sir Winston Churchill im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.677,89).
