A top price for Gosōtei Hirosada - as previously expected
In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work A Group of Eight Woodblock Prints by Gosōtei Hirosada. The price achieved of USD 1,152.00 (€ 1,088.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Group of Eight Woodblock Prints is the most expensive artwork by Gosōtei Hirosada that we have observed at auctions so far.
