Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in Paris held the auction Photographs, which included the work Place De La Concorde, Paris, Vers 1950 by Gordon Parks. The price achieved of EUR 2,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gordon Parks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work American Gothic, Washington D.C. in October last year with an auction result of USD 21,420.00 (€ 21,562.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Place De La Concorde, Paris, Vers 1950 von Gordon Parks zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gordon Parks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit American Gothic, Washington D.C. im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.420,00 (€ 21.562,31).
