Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse Rider by Gopal S. Adivrekar was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,117.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gopal S. Adivrekar have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2021 the work without title was auctioned for GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,478.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse Rider von Gopal S. Adivrekar wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.117,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Gopal S. Adivrekar konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2021 die Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.478,28) versteigert.
