This artwork by Gonzalo Bilbao Martínez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Madrid in October 2004. In the ARTE ESPANOL auction, the work Jardín Con Jacarandas sold for EUR 15,535.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gonzalo Bilbao Martínez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Atardecer, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 33,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gonzalo Bilbao Martínez erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in Madrid einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE ESPANOL wurde die Arbeit Jardín Con Jacarandas für EUR 15.535,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Bilbao Martínez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Atardecer beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 33.600,00 versteigert wurde.
