In January 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings Part II, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identified As A Self-Portrait Of The Artist, Bust-Length by Gonzales Coques. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,084.81) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gonzales Coques - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait de Jeune Homme, which sold at auction in June 2007 for EUR 78,000.00.

Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identified As A Self-Portrait Of The Artist, Bust-Length von Gonzales Coques zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.084,81) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gonzales Coques mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait de Jeune Homme beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für EUR 78.000,00 versteigert wurde.
