The work Puente (Bridge) by Godofredo Ortega Muñoz was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,335.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Godofredo Ortega Muñoz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje con encina y burro in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 60,000.00.
