Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Study for Negro Sunshine #68 by Glenn Ligon. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 28,160.00 (€ 25,815.91). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Ligon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (I Was Somebody) in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,973,000.00 (€ 3,194,243.45).
