The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,755.49), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giusto Suttermans - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Eleonora Gonzaga (1598-1655), half-length, as a bride, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 101,957.59).

Die Arbeit Giovan Carlo di Cosimo II de Medici (1611-1663), in armor and a red sash, bust-length von Giusto Suttermans kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.755,49) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giusto Suttermans mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Eleonora Gonzaga (1598-1655), half-length, as a bride beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 101.957,59) versteigert wurde.
