This artwork by Giuseppe Volo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in June 2013. In the Arredi, Oggetti d'Arte e Dipinti provenienti da Dimore Milanesi, Genovesi ed Emiliane | Libri antichi e rari, Incisioni e Gouaches auction, the work 'Vaso con fiori e frutta'' sold for EUR 45,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giuseppe Volo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Uva, rose, narcisi, tulipano, garofano e susine su un tavolo Pesche, pere, susine, rose, narcisi, gelsomini e un tulipano su un tavolo sold at auction in December 2001 with the realized price of ITL 61,250,000.00 (€ 55,049.99).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Volo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Uva, rose, narcisi, tulipano, garofano e susine su un tavolo Pesche, pere, susine, rose, narcisi, gelsomini e un tulipano su un tavolo im Dezember 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von ITL 61.250.000,00 (€ 55.049,99).
