Despite a disappointment, a good price for Giuseppe Moretti
This work of art by Giuseppe Moretti could be acquired at Sothebys in Milan in June 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Malinconia changed hands for EUR 2,250.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Malinconia is the most expensive artwork by Giuseppe Moretti that we have observed at auction so far.
