Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Giuseppe Maria Crespi could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Young John The Baptist changed hands for USD 5,938.00 (€ 4,329.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Maria Crespi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna and Child in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 333,750.00 (€ 539,669.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Maria Crespi konnte im Januar 2011 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit The Young John The Baptist für USD 5.938,00 (€ 4.329,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
