Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters Part I, which included the work Portrait Of A Knight Of The Order Of St Stephen, Half Length by Giuseppe Maria Crespi. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 103,528.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Maria Crespi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Madonna and Child in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 333,750.00 (€ 539,669.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Knight Of The Order Of St Stephen, Half Length von Giuseppe Maria Crespi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 103.528,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Maria Crespi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Madonna and Child im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 333.750,00 (€ 539.669,36).
