Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A design for a bed by Giuseppe Barberi was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in London in November 2000. The price achieved of GBP 282.00 (€ 460.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Barberi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The interior of a circular temple in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,649.86).
