Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection, which included the work Madonna And Child, With Noli Me Tangere Beyond by Girolamo Macchietti. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,752.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Girolamo Macchietti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 535,500.00 (€ 491,509.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna And Child, With Noli Me Tangere Beyond von Girolamo Macchietti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.752,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Girolamo Macchietti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 535.500,00 (€ 491.509,87).
