In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Pictures & Old Master Drawings, which included the work The Madonna Immaculate With The Child Treading On The Serpent by Giovanni Stefano Danedi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,286.84), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Stefano Danedi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Risen Christ In The Tomb, which sold at auction in May 2020 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,629.12).
