Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with fruits, a vase, birds and a youth with flower basket by Giovanni Stanchi was sold in the Master Paintings Part II auction at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,332.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Stanchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Watermelons, Peaches, Pears And Other Fruit In A Landscape; And Chrysanthemums, Tulips, Irises And Other Flowers And Fruit In A Landscape, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 92,592.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
