Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction From Milan to Rome - The Collections of Two Italian Designers, which included the work Sunset by Giovanni Sottocornola. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,459.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Sottocornola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gioie Materne in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 114,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion From Milan to Rome - The Collections of Two Italian Designers durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset von Giovanni Sottocornola zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.459,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Sottocornola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gioie Materne im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.250,00.
