Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Donna con fiori by Giovanni Sottocornola was auctioned at Il Ponte in November 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 400.00 – 450.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Sottocornola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gioie Materne in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 114,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Donna con fiori von Giovanni Sottocornola im November 2017 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 400,00 – 450,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Sottocornola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gioie Materne im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.250,00.
