The work Chiacchiere. Studio Per Corso Garibaldi by Giovanni Sottocornola was sold in the XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures auction at Sothebys in Milan in December 2008. The result of EUR 5,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Sottocornola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gioie Materne in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 114,250.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Chiacchiere. Studio Per Corso Garibaldi von Giovanni Sottocornola wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 5.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Sottocornola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gioie Materne im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.250,00.
