This artwork by Giovanni Salviati achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Rome in June 2006. In the 19th Century Pictures auction, the work Venezia, Vele In Laguna sold for EUR 2,976.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giovanni Salviati; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Boats on the Venetian Lagoon sold at auction in December 2005 with the realized price of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,876.85).

In der Auktion 19th Century Pictures wurde die Arbeit Venezia, Vele In Laguna für EUR 2.976,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giovanni Salviati; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Boats on the Venetian Lagoon im Dezember 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.876,85).
