Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Istanbul, il ritorno dei pescatori by Giovanni Renica was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 800.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Renica have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Conversazione in villa in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 6,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Istanbul, il ritorno dei pescatori von Giovanni Renica im Juni 2021 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 800,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Renica auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Conversazione in villa im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.500,00.
