Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work a) Le gardien Grec b) Femme allongée by Giovanni Marghinotti. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 15,300.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Giovanni Marghinotti have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Italian The Greek Sentinel; Reclining Woman: A Pair was auctioned for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 25,904.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit a) Le gardien Grec b) Femme allongée von Giovanni Marghinotti zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 15.300,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Marghinotti konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Italian The Greek Sentinel; Reclining Woman: A Pair für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 25.904,79) versteigert.
