Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Courtiers pleading with Ahasuerus by Giovanni Guerra was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,329.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Guerra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A scene from the life of Ahasuerus in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,692.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Courtiers pleading with Ahasuerus von Giovanni Guerra kam im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.329,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Guerra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A scene from the life of Ahasuerus im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.692,54).
