Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work The Rialto Bridge, Venice by Giovanni Grubacs. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,117.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Grubacs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venice, A View Of The Bacino Di San Marco And The Dogana At Sunset in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 150,546.60).

Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rialto Bridge, Venice von Giovanni Grubacs zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.117,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Grubacs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venice, A View Of The Bacino Di San Marco And The Dogana At Sunset im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 150.546,60).
