In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Barbara Piasecka Johnson Collection Proceeds to Benefit the Barbara Johnson Foundation, which included the work The Madonna and Child with the Infant Baptist and Saints Francis and Catherine by Giovanni Francesco Romanelli. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,783.94), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Francesco Romanelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flight of Aeneas and his Family from the Sack of Troy in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 442,050.00 (€ 626,105.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Barbara Piasecka Johnson Collection Proceeds to Benefit the Barbara Johnson Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with the Infant Baptist and Saints Francis and Catherine von Giovanni Francesco Romanelli zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Flight of Aeneas and his Family from the Sack of Troy im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 442.050,00 (€ 626.105,91).
