In the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Andrea del auction, the work Latona Turning Lycian Peasants Into Frogs sold for GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,092.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Francesco Grimaldi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A classical river landscape with figures fishing, which sold at auction in April 2005 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,761.75).
