However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Francesco Grimaldi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A classical river landscape with figures fishing, which sold at auction in April 2005 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,761.75).
