Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,054.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Francesco Grimaldi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A classical river landscape with figures fishing in April 2005 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,761.75).
