A top price for Giovanni de' Busi - as previously expected
The work Christ Carrying The Cross by Giovanni de' Busi was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 169,743.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Christ Carrying The Cross is the most expensive artwork by Giovanni de' Busi that we have observed at auctions so far.
