Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Il Cervino e il Lago Azzurro by Giovanni Cavalleri was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,400.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,200.00. Other works by Giovanni Cavalleri have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2015 by the work Pesca notturna at EUR 1,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Il Cervino e il Lago Azzurro von Giovanni Cavalleri im Juni 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.400,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.200,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Cavalleri wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2015 die Arbeit Pesca notturna mit EUR 1.400,00.
