In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Madonna And Child Seated Before A Landscape by Giovanni Carnovali. The auction ended at the price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,601.03), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Carnovali have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna Col Bambino in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 36,750.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna And Child Seated Before A Landscape von Giovanni Carnovali zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.601,03) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Carnovali auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madonna Col Bambino im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.750,00.
