Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Etchings by Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,645.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pagan Sacrifice in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 971,750.00 (€ 1,571,306.96).

Die Arbeit Two Etchings von Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.645,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pagan Sacrifice im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 971.750,00 (€ 1.571.306,96).
