Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A standing man seen from behind by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,546.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,400.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madonna Of The Rosary With Angels in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 17,349,000.00 (€ 15,639,592.54).
