This work of art by Giovanni Battista Pittoni could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I auction, the work Bacchus changed hands for EUR 25,200.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Pittoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Achilles Among The Daughters Of Lycomedes in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 274,483.38).
