A top price for Giovanni Battista Marcola - as previously expected
In March 2004 Christies in Paris held the auction DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE, which included the work Le jugement de Suzanne by Giovanni Battista Marcola. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 728.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Le jugement de Suzanne is the most expensive artwork by Giovanni Battista Marcola that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2004 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le jugement de Suzanne von Giovanni Battista Marcola zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 728,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Le jugement de Suzanne das teuerste Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Marcola, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
